This English version is a translation of the Dutch version. In case of inconsistencies, the Dutch version prevails.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work or work more efficiently, and to remember certain information. Besides cookies, there are also similar technologies for local storage in your browser (such as `localStorage` and `sessionStorage`), which for the sake of readability we also group under the collective name "cookies" or "storage" in this policy.
2. What cookies and local storage does Revisual use?
Our website (revisual.be) is designed to respect your privacy to the maximum extent. Revisual does not place analytics or marketing cookies. We only use temporary functional state within the React application to remember your language choice while you are on the website. Google's external Calendar booking page is loaded when you open a booking popup or approach the permanent booking section near the bottom of the page. Google may then use cookies or similar technologies to provide and secure the requested booking service.
3. Why do we use these?
Any functional techniques used are strictly necessary or purely functional:
- Strictly necessary: techniques that are essential for the operation of the platform (e.g. to route network traffic securely or to log in via our backend providers).
- Functional: techniques to improve your user experience, such as remembering your language choice, so you do not have to set the language again on every page.
- Booking service: when you choose to open the booking calendar, Google Calendar loads the available times and Google processes the details that you enter for the appointment.
4. Do we use analytics or marketing cookies?
No. Revisual currently does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, remarketing tags, or other analytics and marketing cookies. The Google Calendar booking page is an external functional service that is loaded when you open the booking feature or approach the booking section. Google's use of cookies and similar technologies is governed by Google's policies.
The Google Calendar booking page is not loaded while you neither open the booking popup nor approach the permanent booking section near the bottom of the page. If you prefer not to use this external service, you can contact Revisual directly by email or telephone.
5. How can the user manage cookies?
You always have the option to adjust your browser settings to block or delete storage. Please note that blocking strictly necessary techniques may affect the operation of our website. How to do this varies by browser. You can consult the help function of your browser for this (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, etc.).
6. Changes
Revisual may adjust this cookie policy, for example if we were to add new functionalities (such as a secure login zone) or analytics systems. In that case, we will update this page. Should we introduce cookies requiring consent in the future, we will present this to you via a clear cookie banner before we place them.
7. Contact
